Before you order
If this is your first time using a weed delivery service, it is normal to feel unsure. You might wonder what information you need to give, when you have to show ID, or how payment works.
On Deck is set up so that you can browse first, then share details later. You are not locked into anything just by looking at the menu. There is no paywall or address wall in front of the product list.
You only really need three things to get started:
- A valid ID that proves you are old enough.
- An address that is inside one of the delivery zones, like La Habra, La Puente, Anaheim, Whittier, Brea, or Fullerton.
- A way to pay: bank card or cash.
Once you have those, the rest is just picking what you want.
Step 1: Look through the menu
Start on the main menu page at https://ondeckdelivery.com/menu. From there you can jump straight into whatever you like:
- Flower if you want classic buds.
- Pre rolls if you want something ready to smoke.
- Vapes for cartridges and disposables.
- Concentrates if you prefer dabs.
- Edibles for gummies, chocolates, and drinks.
- Accessories for things like batteries and gear.
The menu is the same for all service areas. The delivery zones sit on top of this menu, they do not change what you see. So you can pick your products without worrying whether you will see a “La Habra menu” or “Whittier menu.” It all pulls from the same product list.
If you care about deals, open the deals page and see what promotions are live before you finish your cart.
Step 2: Build a cart that meets the minimum
As you click “add to cart,” you will see your subtotal go up. You want to get to at least $40 before tax and fees. That is the current minimum order amount for local weed delivery.
A simple way to think about it:
- One or two small items might not hit $40.
- A couple of eighths, or an eighth plus an edible, usually gets you there.
- If you are short, toss in a pre-roll or a smaller edible instead of removing something you want.
Once your cart total is at or above $40, you are ready to head to checkout.
Step 3: Enter your address at checkout
Now you move to checkout. This is the first time the site asks for your address. You fill out your delivery details there, not before.
The system uses your address to check whether you are inside the delivery zones around cities like La Habra, La Puente, Anaheim, Whittier, Brea, and Fullerton.
If your address is accepted, you will see your order move forward. If it is rejected and you are sure you live near one of the listed cities, do not keep fighting the site alone. Call support at (562) 670-5987 during 10 AM – 10 PM and have them check the zone. If it is late and phone support is closed, go to /contact/ and send a message so someone can look into it when they are back online.
Step 4: Upload your ID
Next, you upload your ID. You can take a clear photo of your driver’s license or other valid ID with your phone and upload it right in checkout.
This step is not optional. California requires licensed cannabis retailers to verify age and identity, and On Deck operates under a state retail license.
A few basic tips so it goes smoothly:
- Wipe your camera lens so the picture comes out clear.
- Place your ID on a flat surface with good lighting.
- Make sure all four corners show and the text is readable.
The team reviews this ID on their side. The driver will also ask to see the same ID when they show up, so keep it handy.
Step 5: Choose payment: card or cash
After ID upload, you pick how you will pay. For most orders you should plan on either:
- Paying by card at the door.
- Paying in cash at the door.
You choose the option at checkout and confirm the order. Bring exact or close-to-exact cash if you pick cash, since drivers will have limited change. If you pick card, be ready to follow their process to run it when they arrive.
You should not plan on sending money through peer-to-peer “card-to-card” apps. Because of cannabis regulations and banking rules, those tools are not supported. Have a regular card or cash ready instead.
Step 6: Wait for the delivery window
Once the order is placed, you will see an estimated delivery time. In most areas, orders aim to land within about 60 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic and how busy the queue is at that moment.
You may receive text messages as your order gets confirmed and as the driver gets close. Keep your phone nearby so you do not miss any updates or calls from the driver if they have trouble getting into your building or complex.
If the ETA looks strange, or if you think something is stuck, call support during hours at (562) 670-5987 and ask them to look at your order.
Step 7: When the driver arrives
When the driver arrives, they will:
- Check your ID against the order.
- Confirm the total.
- Take your payment in cash or card.
- Hand you your order.
You need to be at the address you entered. They cannot leave cannabis at the doorstep or hand it to someone else. If you have roommates or family around, make sure they know to let you know when the driver shows up.
Step 8: If you need help after the order
If anything feels off at any point:
- Use the support page if you notice an issue with your order after the delivery, or if you were outside support hours.
- Call (562) 670-5987 during 10 AM – 10 PM if you want to talk to someone live.
You can reach out for questions about charges, products received, or anything that does not match what you expected. You are not stuck guessing how to fix it by yourself.
